Hello, everyone! Its Jess.
I am a mother of two little boys and live in Coronado, California. My passions include children, gardening, fitness, wellness and animal rights and I am basically consumed with a desire to better my world. After becoming a mother I experienced a spiritual awakening that continues to grow. It left me with an overwhelming need to give of myself and hopefully inspire others. I followed this urge to give back to my community in every way possible and am following creative ideas that come from that inspiration. I would like for Sustainable Halo to be a tool and forum for the growth of my desire to give back. It is a bit of an experiment for me to reach out and practice releasing some of the energy that comes from this state I now find myself living in. As my lifestyle changes and I unfold, I am happy to share it with you. I continue to live, learn and invite others to join me in exploring the quieter and less obvious side of life, which in turn opens up a dynamic level of energy from which we can live by. You will see mentions of different products, vendors, websites, etc. There is no compensation, I just wish to support things I believe in and give them a voice in a difficult economy. I am a holistic health care student and am always trying to improve upon the overall wellness of myself, my children and the world.
My mission is to bring our world an inspiration to live with more honest thought. So…I created Sustainable Halo as a guide and forum for living with abundance and light. The more one can incorporate good will into their everyday lives, the more abundant and rich their experiences will be. How is this considered sustainable? In order to sustain one’s environment, we must begin with ourselves and move outward.
I have a holistic approach to living a full life and feel the need to share with others what we have found to be useful for living sustainably in this chaotic and ever growing world. I welcome ideas from my readers and would love to hear from you in the contact box below.
It is easy to feel like you have little control or impact on your day to day life, let alone our world. Where do you start? Will it really make a difference? Can you contribute even if you have little or no money?
You start here and yes, yes, yes! You CAN make a difference in your own life and ultimately your world. You start with yourself and branch out to others. I hope you find something that speaks to you on this site and invite you to join me on my journey of self discovery!
My first recommendation is a book that affected my life in a very simple and effective way.
Please note that I am not a medical professional and am not dispensing medical advice. I am merely sharing lifestyle tips. If you find anything in my material that inspires you to change your daily habits I encourage you to discuss it with your doctor.
